SAIL CLOTH CARTS
This currently derelict site was home to a former sail manufacturing company. Our concept for a food cart pod draws it’s inspiration from the site’s history, as well as from reclaimed structural steel from the existing building. A row of covered carts fronts the urban street edge and are set back to provide a semi-public seating area, inviting passersby into the site. A more intimate gathering area is created within the site, where sails provide canopy coverage and string lights create night time ambiance.
